Step 1: Sign up

To get started, sign up to join our user testing pool. We'll ask for information, like your name, email address, and city of residence. Your responses are meant to ensure we maintain a diverse representation of people in our pool

Step 2: Welcome to GRIT

Once you're signed up, you'll be added to our user testing pool. Our team will email you when we have opportunities that match your participant profile. We estimate one-to-two research opportunities every six months, but participation depends on various criteria.

Step 3: Getting invited to the study

When a research opportunity comes up, we'll send you an email with all the relevant research details as well as a screener questionnaire that's specific to the project.
The screener helps us determine if you're a good fit for the test.

Once you get invited to the study, you will be receiving an automated email that contains all the important information you need to know before signing up.

Step 4: Scheduling an interview & signing consent form

If you're a good fit for the test, we'll contact you by email to schedule an interview. Before the interview, we'll ask you to sign a consent form that outlines the details of the research process, including what data we'll collect and how we'll use it.

After booking your session you will see confirmation screen, and receive a confirmation email.

Step 5: Participating in the user research interview

During the interview, we'll ask you to test a product or service and provide your feedback. This feedback helps improve the products and services to better meet the needs of Canadians. When navigating a new prototype, we encourage you to talk and think out loud as often as possible — it really helps!

Of course! It is important that you are comfortable during the interview. Please let the researcher know if you need a break at any point.

Step 6: Receiving honorarium & rejoining the pool

Once the interview is complete, we'll provide an honorarium as a thank you for your time and feedback. Afterwards, you will be added back to our user testing pool to be eligible for future opportunities.
